The Movies

Sometimes my family is so silly.

Ah, but sometimes it's not funny. Sometimes I get tired of being the voice of reason, the heavy, the spoil sport.

But in this case, they've found a way to accept what must be, have fun with it, and get along in the process.

At least, I think that's what's happening. Of course, I know NONE of them would turn down a movie anytime I said, "Yes".

I mean, I can go to bed early on a Friday night when I can't keep my eyelids open any longer (another one of those things that happens after you turn 40--be sure to read "XL").

But my husband can have the same problem and if I happen to say that I'm going to stay up and watch a movie, you'd better believe he'll find a way to prop the 'ole eyelids open and watch with me--even if it is a chick flick.

And the young men in my house, whoo boy, of course they'll watch a movie anytime, anywhere! Are you kidding?

So I guess when all is said and done, I still get to be the heavy. But the good thing is that I can poke a little [gentle] fun at them on my website, and they can't do a darned thing about it!
